The Choices we Make

Life fades away on your darkest day,
Face it bold or shy away.
You can't move past the truth of life,
the pain, the sorrow, and the strife.
But is there more than what we see?
Heaven, God, or just reality?
Faith alone will keep us sane,
a place to put away the pain.
In higher power or your fellow man,
All we know, is we know no plan.
So I preach good deeds, and wish the best,
but I'm just one, and you're the rest.
Who am I to say what's best,
when I can't do more than guess?
Life is true until it's taken,
I just hope it's not forsaken.
